Cut out as much salt as possible from your diet. This doesn’t mean just not adding salt to your food but cutting out all processed food and ready meals which contain ridiculous amounts of salt. This includes bread which has loads of salt in it. You can either make your own or ask the baker to make some for you on special order.
You need to try this natural method first and it will probably work and is much better than taking lots of tablets. The food will taste very bland to start with but you will get used to it. there arev also some low sodium products on the market.
good alternatives i have done this myself my doctor was impressed 4000 evening primrose oil a day lowers quickly did mine and take a kyolic garlic oderless 650 per day in one tablet made by quest vitamins i take thins the blood and helps lower blood pressure gets rid of toxins in the body if u only want to take one kind do evening primrose oil they come in 500mgs or 1000mgs any health shop and u will see work for others as well as me
continue with the doc’s medicine till he says. u can try the following remedies.
1) cut off salt as much as possible
2) my mom is using this remeday and it works 100% but slowly… u will not get result in 2 or 3 weeks.. but u have to continue it…. ur BP will be normal and then u don;t have to take any BP tablet . the remeday is daily in the night, take 1/4 glass of water and then put one and half tea spoon of Fenugreek (The rhombic yellow to amber colored fenugreek seed, commonly called Methi is frequently used in the preparation of pickles, curry powders and pastes, and is often encountered in the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent.). LET IT BE SAOK THE OVER NIGHT.
in the morning after washing ur face and brushing ur teech, strain the water and drink all the water. it will be litle bitter.. u can throw the seeds. continue to drink this water at least ofr 6 months,,, u wil see the +ve result
All these natural rememedies are fine. But remember that in a small percentage of hypertension, the cause is actually reversible and if you don’t diagnose and treat these causes, the outcome can be very severe. In particular, problems with kidneys, adrenals, thyroids. Some drugs, like the pill, steroids, some anti-depressants. Alcohol also.
If you have other risk factors like high cholesterol, diabetes, increased age, family history – you have a higher likelihood of also getting heart disease.
So the best cures are never easy – diet, exercise, salt restriction and decreased alcohol intake are things you can definitely do on your own that will help control it. Otherwise, go for medical control.
Diuretics (to get your blood volume lower), beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, Ca channel blockers and vasodilators are all the common ones. Better safe than sorry I say! Aim for below 140/90.
My doctor put me on a beta blocker and an ace inhibitor. My blood pressure went from 140/90 down to 113/70. They say that high blood pressure doesn’t have any symptoms, but I can tell you that I feel much better and more energetic since mine went down!
