I have gout and high blood pressure. I take Diova 160/25 and Norvasec for BP and Alopurinol for gout. I get swelling in the legs. My doctors can’t fix this problem. When they change the drugs or doze my blood pressure goes up and I get gout attack….anyone out there who has my problem?

1. Elevate your legs above your heart while lying down.
2. Exercise your legs. This helps pump fluid from your legs back to your heart.
3 Wear support stockings (sold at most drug and medical supply stores).
4. Try to follow a low-salt diet, which may reduce fluid retention and swelling
But remember, swollen legs can be a sign heart failure, kidney failure, or liver failure. See your doctor if the problem continues or gets worse.

Keep your leg up when resting. Lose weight if you are overweight.
Wear shoes without backs in them. Try to move your ankles.
Legs up and cut back on salt intake. Eat more fiber and less sugar.
You need to eat healthier, do some exercises and lose weight. All these medications are just to alleviate the symptoms. The root cause of the problem is excess weight and unhealthy lifestyle. Believe me.
