Blood Pressure reading of 65/90.?
My friend is having a Blood Pressure reading of 65/90.
Its been caused by the Emotional Disorder combined with malnutrition. What medication should be used in short term treatment as of now itself. and what should be the long term action plan.

Unfortunately there is no treatment in terms of medication that you can take for low blood pressure.
There is only medication for treatment of high BP.
In the short term she needs to be assessed by a Dietician to assess her diet and the improvements that can be made to it to combat the malnutrition. Malnutrition drops blood pressure. Sometimes to dangerously low levels.
She should sit or stand up slowly to prevent a further sudden decrease in pressure.
She also needs some support, professionally, to help her deal with her emotional issues. Other wise she will be on a Merry-Go-Round.
Until her BP increases to an acceptable level be her friend and help as much as you can. If you can of course.
Once her BP is stablised she needs to continue on with the Dietician until he or she is satisfied there is no more further risk to health.
And continue to seek professional help until she is able to deal with her issues and life on her own.
No Such Reading as 65/90 it would be 90/65.
FOR SHORT TERM TRY CHORTISONS,,FOR LONG TERM..TRY CHORTILON
I have never heard of a blood pressure being higher on the top than the bottom, that just doesnt’ make sense to me. Not that it couldnt happen. I think you should get to the ER and refuse to leave until they get your BP to a normal range. Now if it were 90/65, that would be different. Still not the best numbers, but better than the other way around.
I think after you get your BP under control, you should get mental health care, and take your meds as directed. As for which medicine, that would be something your Psychiatrist would decide. Also might help with your malnutrition. They way you have worded it, it sounds like an eating disorder. If so, get therapy for that also, and try to make yourself eat something, just a little something with plenty of protein, not too much though, to give you energy and over time, step by step, eat a little more each day or so. Malnutrition is serious. If you can get that undercontrol, it might help the BP issues clear themselves up. Please, see your doctor.
This is NOT the appropriate forum to ask what medication she should be on. She needs to see a medical professional to diagnose her condition and assess whether medication is appropriate.
This website is NOT a substitute for medical treatment, nor can the professionals that answer on this site be sure that they are adequately able to assess her condition without seeing her medical history/charts and the data from certain tests (such as a blood pressure reading).
Also, there is no "Emotional Disorder" diagnosis in the DSM-IV manual used by most Mental Health professionals, so it sounds like you are trying to determine her condition without the aid of a medical professional or mental health professional. I recommend you stop trying to fix the problem without the help of a trained professional.
Alot of lemon and salt juice. No need to take long term treatment. Just keep a watch.
there is a problem with your meter. take it to the doctor for calibration. this is not a real reading regardless of your health history.
It would be physically impossible to have a B/P of 65/90. Either it’s 90/65, it wasn’t taken correctly, or your friend is BS’ing you.
On to the meds, you do not have prescription authority (if you did, you’d know this answer), and this is not the right place to ask that question. There are many different ways that improper blood pressures can be treated, depending on what your friends emotional disorder is and what meds this person is already on. Your friend needs to talk to the doctor about how to treat it, as blood pressure that is too low can affect how much oxygen reaches the brain.
