How can I manage symptoms of low blood pressure (hypotension)?
I am really struggling managing symptoms for something that is supposed to be really good! Any help would be greatly appreciated….
In addition to postural hypotension (which can be managed by sitting/lying down) I also get dizzy and lightheaded, my skin gets clammy and I feel nauseous. I am also tired all the time, despite eating greens, jogging every other day, sleeping the requisite 8 hours and drinking plenty of water.
What’s going on???

It’s not exactly "really good", and it’s even worse when it’s hot, or if you live in a hot place, or if you workout too hard, etc.
(I have that too…)
I manage it, drinking lots of water and soda (I have hypoglicemia also). And by eating olives or licking pure salt.
I always carry salt with me, you can put it under your tongue, ’cause thare are lots of vases there and its absorved very fast by your body.
I usually feel ok in a few minutes after that.
xxx.
Eat SALT on your food! Salt is bad for many but not for people with low blood pressure. If you’re drinking a lot of water and not having a lot of salt, you’re making it worse. I know it’s a miserable problem but try salt for a few days and see how much better you feel.
Chronic fatigue along with postural hypotension that does not respond to your diet, exercise, adequate water intake and sleep – don’t you think it is time for a checkup including full blood tests and a chest X-ray?
There are too many possible causes, both physical and psychological. Let an expert figure this one out.
you should go to a doctor. it can be a severe problem like too much potassium in the body. that causes realy low blood pressure. it can be deadly if there is too much potassium in the body. its called hyperkaluria. not sure if I spelled it right.
I have hypokuluria. extreme low potassium. either way it can damage heart muscle.
a simple blood test for too much potassium is the way to check it.
if its high they will find out why its too high.
good way to check if its too much potassium is to eat foods high in salt. if you feel fine afterwards odds are this is what it is.
salt will counter the high potassium.
but only a doc can tell you the cause of it. like a tumor on something that makes the body keep the potassium. cant remember what tumor and where.
sleep more and listen to the doctor’s advice
i also have this its so annoying!
it was diagnosed by a doctor who recommended to eat a bit more salt.
he also said it should improve as i get older, however if the dizziness (and blackouts, if you get them) change as time goes on the see a doctor as it could mean something else is wrong.
