How long does it take before a blood pressure medication start working?
I have been taking that second BP medication for 3 days and so far no change my readings are still high.

Some medicines work extremely rapidly and are used in anaesthesia. Others can take weeks to work, if they work at all. It depends on the actual medication, dosage and what they are used for (ie essential vs other forms of hypertension).
I wouldn’t expect much change before one or two weeks. If it is still high after that, might need to adjust dosage — I’m sure your doc would have told you all of this.
IT took mine a few weeks to go down. Then, not much, so they doubled it. Then after a few weeks it had gone down some more, but still high so they added another medication. In all it took about 3 months of adjusting to get it under control.
Depends which one it is…if you are allowed to , daily walking is great for your heart and will help with your high BP.
I do know that Beta Blockers usually work pretty well immediately on BP.
