Is there a quick way to temporarily lower blood pressure?
I’m going in for a medical exam to qualify for a scholarship and part of that includes a blood pressure check. The exam is in 4 days. Right now my blood pressure averages about 131/83. I need to get it to 120/80 or lower. I know taking aspirin and diuretics can help, but are there any other ways to lower blood pressure quickly that you might know of?

my blood pressure is through the roof but i have a job that requires i keep it low so what i do is a witches brew combination of aspirin, garlic tablets, lots of leafy dark green vegetables, vitamin b complex, vitamin d, cinnamon, nutmeg and bananas for potassium. i usually combine the cinnamon and bananas in some oatmeal. Its hard on the taste buds and the stomach, but its worked for me so far. I start at least a day before the exam and don’t over do it except on the vegetables and bananas i eat as much of those as i want.
well you don’t want to lower it too quickly. Those are the only ways of taking something, but change your diet and NO salt for 4 days. That includes already prepared foods as well like soups or frozen meals, etc.
Garlic tablets at the drug store. It’s an old folk remedy. Works for me.
Exercise also helps.
In addition to avoiding salt and salty foods (snacks, processed meats, even ketchup), eat foods that are high in potassium (bananas). These lower blood pressure.
