   A change is diet and lifestyle is often more effective than medication. There are many things you can do-

   Supplements:
   Garlic, Calcium, Magnesium, L Carnitine, L glutamic acid, L glutamine, Selenium, Co Q10, EFAs (flaxseed oil) Vitamin C, Lecithin granules and Vitamin E.

   A strict salt-free diet is essential, and animal fats (meat and dairy) should be avoided. Broiled white fish and skinless chicken may be consumed in moderation only. Primary protein sources should be from vegetables, grains and legumes.
   Be sure to eat deep green vegetables, bananas, oranges, dried peas and beans.

   Avoid all alcohol, caffeine and tobacco.

   Fast for three days each month to periodically cleanse and detoxify the body.

   Get regular exercise, and keep your weight down.

   Not really, but don’t use salt, or eat salty foods and look at the sodium content of foods you buy.

   Exercise 3-5 times a week for at least 30 min-60min.

   Eat healthy, veggies and fruits, protein.. cut down on carbs, try not to eat much fat/fatty foods, don’t overeat.

   But really, if you have high BP you should take meds and see your MD!

   Check on the internet. On the browser search box write something like "Home remedies for High Bood Pressure". You will get something out of it. I try learning how to breath better. It has been said that you can lower your blood pressure by counting 1 to 5 inhailing, 1 to 5 holding and 1 to five exhailing. Good luck.

   Lakeplacidgirl2001 is right about how to limit it (diet and exercise), but there are a few natural supplements that can really help more than just the things she mention that help it to not get worse. The most popular ones are Fish Oil, Hawthorn Berries, L-Arginine, C12 Peptides (from milk protein casein), Bonito Peptides, and Garlic. Good luck!

   I was recently diagnosed with pre-hypertension. I told my doctor how adamant I was against taking BP meds. We talked it over…eating healthier and exercise! I watch my salt intake, count calories, portion control, very little to no caffiene, and 30-60 min. of exercise at least 5 days a week. I have lost 9 lbs. and I have went from pre-hypertensive at 150-ish/90-ish to an almost normal 128-ish/78-ish! Some people do have to take meds if diet and exercise doesn’t work.

   Stopby Chinese herbal stores for a bag of tea. 100s millions people there dont have medicines like us here.
   or have people from other countries to get cheap medicines
   or visit county/city health dept.
