My Grandma's eye is swollen, no redness or anything else?
The part that is swollen is around the "dark circle" area & under that part like down towards the cheek a little. Her eye is not red or itchy. It tears a lot but don’t know if it’s related. It’s been happening for the past few days she wakes up like that and it gets a little better during the day but it won’t go away completely. I would like to find some homemade cures since she takes some medicines for high blood pressure & a few things more. Could it be an allergy? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance.
She also is recovering from avery bad cold

If it’s just the one eye then it isn’t an allergy. She may have a slight cold in her eye. I would keep an eye on it and see what happens in the next few days, it it stays the same or gets worse then take her in to see the doctor, but I don’t think it will be necessary and remember this, keep your hands and fingers away from the eyes and face during the flu season. If you speak with enough people on here your going to find some kind of crazy urbane legend that they’ll swear by but, there isn’t anything in the home I would put in my eyes.
hey i work at a eye place im a optician she needs to go get on some antiboc
I don’t believe it is an allergy because she would have other side effects. Its hard to tell what it could be caused by with out seeing an MD. You could give her some aspirin or put some ice on it. Baking soda and water may help too. Your best bet though would be to see her Doctor because it could be something much worse and you don’t want that. well I hope it helps.

Just give her doctor a call. It doesn’t sound like infection or allergy it is most likely edema (fluid) under her eye. If she has problems with high blood pressure, fluid retention, etc. around the eyes is another area you can "retain fluids." Fluid can accumulate more on the side she sleeps on most often throughout the night and once she is up for awhile the fluid diminishes a bit. Cool packs can help, so will a cooled tea bag. But give her doctor a call and ask about a possible problem with fluid retention.
