Natural, free remedies for hypertension, high blood pressure??????
4 weeks ago I started walking 2 miles/day and eating a heart healthy diet. My blood pressure has fallen from 150/100 to 128/80 in that time. I plan to continue. What other things can I do to keep my blood pressure under control.

eat a banana a day, its not free but doesnt cost that much
great job, keep up with both, you can avoid salt in addition, good luck
No red meat!
Congratulations!
Watch the sodium intake and the caffiene.
low salt diet
some say garlic
small dose of aspirin each day if you are not allergic
manage stress in your work place and at home
learn relaxation techniques
120/80 is great – you don’t want your BP to be too low, actually!
You can have red meat, just limit it…the cholesterol is the issue. It sounds like you are already on the right track…just follow a cardiac diet – aka low sodium, low fat, low cholesterol. Include more fruits and veggies, whole grains (which are heart healthy), and lean meats and dairy. Avoid too much cheese though…it’s very high in sodium. And keep up the exercise!
avacados are GREAT
it sounds like you are already doing enough…128/80 is a fine blood pressure.
avoid sodium, caffein and perhaps some stress management
My very close and holistic friend is into herbs. I know they are good but I haven’t done any research specifically on herbs to drink as teas etc. If you want to try there are excellent resources online and as the library.
I would recomend aromatherapy though which is what I practice for wellness and health issues. By the way it sounds like you are doing all the right things. If you don’t keep up with what you are doing then herbs or essential oils won’t be of much help.
I would likewise do your research on either one before you may try them and make sure they won’t intteract with any medications you may be taking.
That being said the essential oils lavender, majoram, and ylang ylang will help with lower blood pressure.
My friend also takes some great vitamin supplements that I started taking too. If you want any more info on the vitamins or the aromatherapy just email me.
here is some good info at this website
If you breathe so your abdomen goes out when you exhale you can reduce your blood pressure. Try inhaling this way 10 times and repeat your blood pressure . It works!
