I’ve seen multiple docs and ER staff but still don’t have an official diagnosis. For 3+ weeks I’ve had diarrhea. It started as loose stools (which I attributed to a high dose Vit C that I was taking at the time… not anymore), but then progressed to diarrhea about 5 times daily. It didn’t seem to bother me much at first, just a little bit of discomfort, slight nausea before I had to "go".

Then 13 days ago it got much worse. Any solid food I eat gives me nausea, and uncomfortable bloating. Then I started getting what felt like blood pressure changes, dizziness, light-headedness, and discomfort which would precipitate a complete emptying of my bowels ->right now I only feel decent when my stomach is totally empty. It’s gotten so bad that it awoke my panic disorder (I had been unmedicated and effectively cured of panic for the last 8 years). So on top of everything else, when I start getting that nausea/bloated feel, my heart starts pounding and my fight or flight chemicals go mad.

The ER gave me a CT scan and only found an inconsequential cyst on my liver. They gave me bentyl for nausea… and it helps, but it’s been 10 days since I was there and I still need it. They also took a fair amount of blood but I didn’t ask what they tested at the time… but it was all normal they said.

My primary doc found the beginning of an ear infection and put me on antibiotics exactly a week ago (this did help with the nausea I was getting whenever I turned my head). She took blood to test for celiac and other things, and also stool samples, but so far I have no results from that yet. She also put me back on anti-anxiety meds (I’m back to seeing my cognitive behavioral therapist to deal with the panic and eventually plan to wean the anti-anxiety meds).

So for the most part I am keeping the panic sensations away, but still I absolutely cannot eat solid food. It starts with basic acid indigestion, but then turns to bloat and nausea, and then a trip to the bathroom where my bowels empty.

Pretty sure I’m starting to get a little dehydrated (throat feels dry), but if I drink too much at once my stomach gets really uncomfortable. I’ve been mostly living on whey powder drinks which usually don’t bother me much.

And I am taking a probiotic 6hrs after each antibiotic. Especially since I suspect all this diarrhea just destroyed all the bacteria in my gut.

So does anyone have thoughts on what this could be? Part of me kinda likes the fact that I dropped 6 pounds in a week, and I feel totally normal when I’m empty. But I’m starting to get a little scared that it’s been 2 weeks of this inability to comfortably eat (3 of diarrhea) and while I can manage my symptoms, I don’t appear to be getting better. And since I can’t eat properly I think I’m getting weaker.

Any help is appreciated.
Nice thought, but the hospital already tested me for that. No babies here (unless there’s gross medical incompetence going on).

I have been on Lisinopril(40 mg) for a few months and my blood pressure has went down but the side effects are very uncomfortable(coughing, blurry eye sight, slight dizziness).

My blood pressure still needs to be lower(I’m now at 140-150/77-80 and my pulse is always in the 60’s) but I want to get off this medication. My heart is fine, so no problem there.

After searching online for a natural remedy I came across this….http://www.levodyn.com/index.html

I see my doctor on the 23rd of this month and hopefully I can tell him this is what I want to use instead of the Lisinopril. Has anyone ever used it or heard of it before? Thanks.

I am a fairly healthy person, blood pressure and iron levels are good. Lately (the past week and a half) I’ve been having lots fo dizziness and some headaches. My chiropracter hasn’t been able to figure out what’s causing it yet. Though it could be related to allergies and quitting smoking (smoke free for 3 weeks now). Does anyone have suggestions for natural remedies to dizziness especially?

I am 37 weeks pregnant and was in labor and delivery 3 days ago due to elevated blood pressure and swelling of my hands, feet, and face and also dizziness. Nurses were able to get my blood pressure down by having me lay on my left side. I was instructed to go home and save all my urine for 24 hours and return it to the lab to be checked for protein in my urine. I was back in the doctor’s office today and was advised the protein level in my urine was way too high – was five times more than the normal amount. Since my blood pressure was normal today, I was advised that they would not be inducing labor and would just keep a close eye on me. Blood tests were performed as well and that came back okay. I am also 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I am still experiencing the dizziness and swelling. From what I know, delivering the baby is the only way to cure pre-eclampsia. But they are saying I don’t have it because my blood pressure was fine today, but what about the protein in my urine?
I believe my highest BP was 164/98 and my lowest reading has been 134/78

I went to a neurologist for on going migraines, dizziness, comprehension and memory problems, weakness etc. These symptoms come and go every 3-4 months or so… He has sent me for a MRI and prescribed me beta blockers he said these will help with my migraines.
So will taking beta blockers make my migraines and dizziness go away? and also if he thinks this is the cure why is he sending me for a MRI?
I thought beta blockers were used for people with high blood pressure? My blood pressure is fine although my resting pulse rate is at the least on a good day 110… and no im not over weight and i have gone to a cardiologist and he said everything with my heart was fine.

I’ve noticed that my blood pressure has become pretty high, atleast it is for me. (It hovers around 139/90 and I’ve dealt with dull headaches and dizziness everyday for the past couple of weeks) Does anybody have tips or remedies that have work to lower blood pressure naturally. I would prefer not to get on meds at this point in my life unless totally necessary. Also, should I be worried about this because it’s high but not tremendously high?

My mother is in her 60s. She has high blood pressure, and is taking medication for that (Lisinopril, a generic for Prinivil). She also has been having sporadic light-headedness and dizzy spells. Sometimes it’s when she wakes up, sometimes it’s after work at 6pm– the timing is random, whether or not she eats anything. Generally she doesn’t eat breakfast or much at all during the day (she had a Twinkie for today’s breakfast, for instance). She’s also taking medication for dizziness– Hydrochlorothiazise, a generic for Oretic/Esidrix that, randomly enough, says it may cause dizziness on the bottle. Her dizziness is so bad that she doesn’t want to drive, for fear of passing out. She started taking the dizziness pills on Wednesday, the blood pressure pills on Thursday.

The doctor said her blood pressure medication might take about two weeks to start working properly. Until then, I figure that whatever the cause, whether it’s her blood pressure or the medication, similar home remedies would work to help her get over the light-headedness, right? Does anyone have any recommendations of food or actions to take that could help my mother get over her light-headedness and dizzy spells until her blood-pressure medication starts working?

I’ve had high blood pressure since I was 13 …No reason why, just labeled it as hypertension.. Well about 3 months ago I started going to the chiropractor for dizziness (heaven sent.. almost completely cured the dizziness) …. I decided to check my blood pressure & yesterday it was 88/69 … I was very surprised because it’s usually 150/80 or 90 later in the day… Could this chiropractic care be reducing my blood pressure?

I’ve been checking it regularly … it’s ranged from 88/69 – 130/83. 130/85 was right before I went to bed right before I usually take my medicine. So when I got up I checked it again it was 122/87 but yet when i just checked it .. 3 hours later it is 89/77.

My son is only 21 months old and per his visit at the pediatric cardiologist he thinks that the leak has gone from mild to moderate since his last check and recommends starting him on a blood pressure medication 3x per day I think its called something like cardthacan or something (not sure) but his blood pressure is fine 70/48 when we were there and I dont think I want him on meds 3x per day at not even 2 yrs old, the DR says this is to dilate blood vessels and minimize the leak back into the ventricle…I just wondered if anyone has any history or thoughts on this plan of treatment? Thanks in advance.
A concerned confused mom
….a big concern is that the meds can cause chronic cough and lowers blood pressure which can cause dizziness pr passing out…thats a little scary for a one year old

I have been perscribed lisinopril for high blood pressure, and it is only 10 mg tablets and on the container it says that it may cause dizziness and not to drive a car or operate machinery until you become familiar with its effects. I work a job that involves operating machinery.

Please can someone tell me, I have tried asking before but got no reply that actually told me how it happens?
If you already have Low Blood Pressure, but in a healthy way so you get no symptoms. Then when you get stressed or upset you suddenly get symptoms for a while, how does that work, what does the stress do to make the symptoms start.
When I say symptoms I mean, light-headedness, dizziness, weakness and fainting.

What is the best blood pressure medication with the least side effects ? I have tried Linsinopril, Diovan (valsartan),
Atenolol, Altace. They all bring my blood pressure down some, except for Diovan. It doesnt. The rest have similar side effects. Dizziness, incoherent, lack of energy.
Thank you for your response. I am at risk of a stroke each day.

I am just curious because I am currently being monitored for HBP and I asked my doctor about symptoms because every where I look it is called the "silent killer", yet some ppl say nosebleeds, floaters, dizziness, lightedness etc can be symptoms. What has anyone else experienced as symptoms of HBP.

Today I found out that my blood pressure is low, 60/80

What are some causes of low blood pressure?
And how can I bring my blood pressure back up to normal?
no you read it correctly its 60/80
sorry that is 80/60, i was a little confused
I would like to add that this low blood pressure is accompanied by dizziness, especially upon standing up, fatigue, and other feelings of weakness.

I am taking a high blood pressure medication, and it seems/appears that since I have been taking the medication I have had headaches all over, dizziness/light headedness, numbness in parts my face, as well as a stiff neck. These symptoms arent consisently there, maybe 1-2 times a day for an hour or so. Can a high blood pressure medication cause such or is this some unrelated condition that I should seek out?
