I am attempting to do this. Started with Garlic pills for my blood pressure that also have ingredients that help the heart. Also taking Cinnamon tablets and Fenugreek for my diabetes and will be adding a high dose biotin capsule this week. Any one heard of this biotin cure? Although most days I feel pretty good, there are times when I just get a little nervous and will take my B/P & diabetes medication as a precaution. I have no way of monitoring my blood pressure at this time except when I go to the doctor.
I’d like to hear from people who have successfully gotten off their medications and are going all natural. Tell me how you did it and anything else that will put my mind at ease. I really want to stop taking my prescriptions (especially Avandia) but have some concerns. Thanks.
Hello All!
I am 32 years and I have hypertension. last year I weaned myself off of the prescription Lisonopril. I was recommended to take 20 mg of this medication however I had a severe chronic cough allergic reaction. I have been taking the following remedies to help:
1. 1000 mg of Garlic Pills;
2. Coenzyme Q 10 50 mg X 3 times per day;
3. Low Dosage Aspirin 81 mg X 3 times per day;
4. Udo’s Choice (Oil) blend 2 pills X 3 times per day:
Still my pressure is high as of now 138 over 83. I would like to get it a lot lower. Anyone have a recommendation as I am trying to do htis naturally?
have 2 problems linked if you could anwer both I’d be glad.If you’re gonna say go to a doctor than don’t bother I have an appointment but it’s after a major exam unfortunately.
1)I’m a college student who for some time have been experiencing high blood pressure, heart rate, shortness of breath diziness and exercice intolerance which is due to anxiety. I didn’t really cure it but the symptoms had almost dissapeared before coming back worse especially the exercice intolerance. I can’t climb even half-a set of stairs I can’t walk for more than 15min I have trouble standing after a long sit my heart goes crazy and I used to be athletic. My folks say it’s stress and that it will go away but I dunno do you know a way a medicine or anything like alcohol or garlic that will make the stress go away and that might calm my heart rate which is high even during rest.
2) because of this heart problem I haven’t been able to satisfy my sexual needs for 20 days alonee or with someone as I felt like having a heart attack last time and am too scared. How bad is it? And is it wise to wait until my heart is cured or will it have a worse impact for the heart after a long time?
And also how long can a man go without that and how does it end is there a risk of coming in the middle of the street or the exam(which is in 2 days? If so how can I reduce my libido?
I think I’ve heard garlic and a few other things can help lower blood pressure. Anybody know the other ones?
LIKE FOR INSTANCE I’M TOLD TO DRINK VINEGAR WATER , GARLIC WATER; LIKE WHAT ARE THE MEASUREMENTS?
… that garlic "inflames the baser passions".
♥Namaste♥
I have great respect for the Hindu faiths… but I feel in my heart that this thing about garlic is an incorrect addition of "man" to the divine truth found in Vedic scripture.
Garlic is a great blessing to my health… it fixes my sore throats (when I take it as a drink with water), prevents cancer (due to high selenium content), prevents & cures high cholesterol & lowers blood pressure (scientifically proven), and clears my swollen (from allergies) nasal passages.
It is also virtually the ONLY spice that my family can tolerate without having physical or mental reactions. Our food would be completely bland without garlic, as we cannot tolerate any other herb. (I find that any other herbs makes my mind feel fuzzy & unclear, & some of them send me completely silly.)
I am wondering if any of you have personal experience to confirm this belief about garlic? Have you ever felt spiritually different from eating/not eating garlic?
Jayasri devi dasi…
I don’t see things so black & white to "throw the baby out with the bath water". I have a little experience with how God reveals things to people… & how easy it is for a little bit of opinion to creep in amongst the revelation in a moment of laxness. I guess that’s why each of us needs to know how to test each and every truth for ourselves… and thereby obtain conviction concerning our beliefs.
One fault in doctrine would not negate a whole system. But according to your explanation, it seems not to be a fault, anyway. Thank you for explaining so well.
I am afraid I could never give up garlic. I feel it is a miracle herb from God… could never think of it as otherwise, as I am so grateful for that wonderful herb.
I still am left unconvinced that it would contribute to a less spiritual state. I will have to experiment on this… but garlic has never made it difficult for me to connect with God.
Lollies, old meat, spices, artificial additives have.
What natural/traditional remedies do you know and use that work?
me- ginger for colds
basil and garlic for high blood pressure
dock leaves for skin irritations
cloves for mouth ulcers and toothache
rooibos and buchu for flu.
Any others….?
What is Congee?
well i have pcos i have the acne and hair on my chin my period is not to irregular just comes a few days late or early every month, not to bad. But the doctor wants to give me birth control pills now i have taken those before and they worked well, but now that my insurance will only let me get generics and they do not seem to work the same. Now i have heard about the benefits of taking the pill but i have also been hearing that htey can cause heart problems and strokes my father died of heart problems and also had a stroke and high blood pressure, my blood pressure only goes high occasionaly it is not high all the time. So my question is do i take the birth control pills and the meds for high blood pressure even though i hate medicine and prefer naturla cures. Also let me say that my blood pressure has been really good for the past 4 months and i have been off the meds. i got one higher reading and they want me back on meds. ok thanks for any tips and info you can give me, ALSo i have heard that garlic pills is good for blood pressure is that true guess i should also mention i am overweight and it is very hard for me to lose weight
natural medicine such as garlic
I have asthma/allergies and anemia. I also have blood pressure that was 145/95 in November. I have been using Proventil for a few months for my asthma, but I generally only use it once every few days. When I was told about my high blood pressure in November, the doc said she wanted to wait a month before she decided to put me on medication for it. I then started taking garlic, fish oil, and about that time I started using a Neti pot. When I went back to the doctor, (a month later) my blood pressure was 142/86. I feel that either one or all of the things that I did that I previously mentioned contributed to this significantly lower bottom number. What do you guys think? The doc still decided to put me on atenolol and iron pills, but I am wondering if it can help more than these natural remedies already are.
I do not have high cholesterol or any thyroid issues. I do have a fast heartbeat (about 100 times per minute) The doc thinks that my fast heartbeat is directly related to the anemia.
Phoenix ~ I already said that I was taking garlic. If you read the ENTIRE question, you would have known that ![]()
VRG ~ The salt thing is a great point. I never "add" salt to anything, but there is tons of salt in processed foods, so I am trying to eat less of those types food.
I also started taking hawthorne, too, when I started the Atenolol.
it?
