I could ask hundreds of questions about treatment (and sometimes non-treatment) that this person is receiving at repeated hospital stays and could explain at length the many changes I see when a particular medication is working, and others are not. But what amazes me_and this has happened in two different states in the US, is that doctors just expect her to die, and since she’s not dying yet they just keep on telling me she’s on end stage of COPD and CHF. They extubate her apparently much too soon, very quickly remove meds that help her be much more stabilized and even though she very much wants to live, while at home and feeling lack of oxygen and/or other symptoms asks to be taken to hospital, while there is interested in all treatments, etc., with very caring family members present and asking all pertinent quesitons to medical staff, still doctors told me this days ago upon her last hospital discharge: "You know she’s on end stage, next time they she comes into hospital they might not intubate her". I then ask, "Why have different doctors been telling mostly the same for past 3 1/2 years? What am I suppose to do, not bring her?

Their answer "There’s hospice that can come to the house?" I ask if hospice would be intubating her or able to provide tracheastomy. "No" is the answer. And I repeat that at home she does have (as they all know) all the care from four members of family 24 hrs a day. That I take her to hospital for her health problems.

Not to make a newspaper out of this_and leaving out the disheartening opinions from so many doctors, nurses, and even respiratory therapists_I will say that it has been a constant agony for this family to make sure this person lives, mainly due to misdiagnosis at first, then simply negligence in appropriate care from other doctors, and mostly the unwillingness to simply understand it is NOT ONLY the family who wants her to live, but she herself. They know this because her mind is perfectly well for her age and illnessess, and they can see how she wants to be if not cured, made well enough to go back home.

To make matters worse and add salt to the injury, upon her release days ago, when they removed apparently what they call a line from part between thigh and abdomen there was considerable bleeding accroding to family and herself. Nurse didn’t really telll me whole story as I phoned in to find out why she was still there, even when ambulance had gone over to pick her up.

PLEASE, let me know if you know what’s going on here? I appreciate any help. She suffers from COPD, CHF, attrial fibrillation, high blood pressure, and appears to have something wrong with adrenal glands.
Thank you for two answers so far. JESSICA, I am the primary person listed with ALL her doctors and hospital personnel. I had just spent couple of hours at that hospital, speaking precisely with THAT NURSE before I left for home to get everything ready for her return!!!!!

Ok this WIll be kind of long but i will try to keep it as short as i can. i have had some health issues for almost 3 years. before this time i was a very healthy and athletic person. i worked as a Mechanic 10 hours a day six days a Week. and i did heavy work. i was an engine specialist. anyways. this health problem has still Not been identified. because it always has new symptoms. the doctors i see are only focused on the part of it that they know and not the whole picture. the symptoms change as time goes on. all of this is related to bare with Me. My first health problems started 3 and a half years ago. My first problems were gastrointestinal problems. every time i would eat i would get this sudden squeezing pressure in My tummy it would make Me dizzy. it made Me feel like i was going to puke and mess Myself all at the same time. this happened every meal. it would only last a few seconds. then i was just fine. after i would stand up to leave the restaurant. i would with in 20 seconds start to gag and dry heave. every single time. Me getting up and moving around would trigger it every time after every meal. i never had heart burn in My life. or anything. it was just a problem. i would dry heave and almost throw up immediately after every meal. this lasted 6 months. next i started getting crackling sounds in My rib joints. if i were to breath deep it would sound almost like fluid rushing in the muscle. that stayed the same for months. next i got kidney stones. one after the other non stop still to this day. i have had a er visit for a stone every 6 months for almost three years. after this started. i would get these sudden intense dizzy spells. the kind ware i would be walking in a straight line and form no ware just start walking of to the right or stumbling and walking into a circle. this whole time i was still trying to walk straight. when this would happen i would get a tight feeling and breathless feeling in My chest. this only happened 4 times in a 3 month period. never happened again. all My symptoms stays static for almost a year. then i started having moments of extreme fatigue and weakness. to the point i was to weak to stand. i would drool on My self i was so weak. this would last for hours. then at the end of they day i would vomit like hell. and suddenly afterwards all My energy and came back and i felt great. this would happen about 3 days a week. i couldn’t do My job it was so bad. then one day i stood up to fast. and when i did My heat gave Me three hard painful beats in a row. it felt like My chest was being punched from the inside. and i felt like i was being strangle. pressure built in My head i started to black out. after this My heart rate slowly started to climb 20 mins later it was up over 200 bpm. blood pressure also sky high. they called 911. i was pale and clammy. the strangest thing about that is. the second they set an iv the second they flush it with the saline. all My symptoms suddenly stop and i feel fine. however if i am hooked up to a saline drip no matter if i had symptoms before or not. you hook Me up. in 3 mins. i get pale. My legs feel like bricks i cant breath and My heart gets super slow. and My tongue goes numb and i become incoherent. happens every time i get an iv. and no its not anxiety. i don’t mind needles. and when i am having symptoms a small squirt of saline solution just to flush the iv cures My symptoms. the strange thing is when they push fluid in My arm i hear crackling sounds and it feels like cold fluid is rushing into My ear on that same side. its very strange. doctors have not been able to explain this. the last day i was at work. i swore it was a heart attack but the medics said no. i started to feel hot. sweaty and increasingly weak. after about 30 mins i finally just collapsed. My heart rate after my legs turned into noodles. it shot up over 300. just like always as soon as medics hit Me with a single syringe of saline. boom im cured. weird huh? i developed pots syndrome about 3 months after this event. it was bad enough i could not get out of bed. the moment i would stand up MY heart rate and bp both would get sky high and i would get so breathless immediately upon standing i had to lay right back down. today i am better i can move around. but that last day at work. that same event will happen if i am on My feet for to long. id say 2 hours i am down. i also get very hot when its cold. a cold draft in the room i start burning up. i also cant tolerate heat anymore either. the shop was 113 degrees all summer long no issue. now if i go above 70F i am so hot i am about to faint. as of today My chest cracks and pops worse than it ever has. i cant sleep. i gained 40 pounds. and i get a headache after every meal. i almost pass out when i lay down. not when i stand up. i have had a laundry list of test. nothing has ever been found out of place. so you tell Me. what in the hell could this be?

A few years ago I started taking a ‘triple stack’ – ephedrine, aspirin, and caffeine – before working out to boost my energy, and it seemed to work very well (the old versions of Metabolife and Hydroxycut had a similar formula).

Suffering from moderate depression, I also found that when I take this combination, it really made me feel much better! I have a definite change in feeling throughout the day and able to have a somewhat normal outlook on things when I take this combination. Not only is my energy level up, but I have much more positive thoughts and generally feel much better.

I am not taking any antidepressants, but I do take this combination several times a week to get me through the day. Is this safe? Better or worse than taking a prescribed antidepressant? Any long-term dangerous effects? I do not have high blood pressure or any other health problems.

I heard that high blood pressure can be controlled, but it could never be cured. I have high blood pressure, so does this mean that I’m always gonna live with possible health problems?? Oh, and I heard that high blood pressure can cause a stroke, heart failure, heart attack, and kidney failure. If you have high blood pressure, is it 100% for sure that you’ll end up having health problems?? Or does high blood pressure only put you at risk for health problems??

Obesity is one of the UK’s growing health problems but there is no nhs support in the form of diet clubs yet there are stop smoking clubs and support. We are obliged to pay organisations to help us in our efforts to lose weight. Shouldn’t the NHS provide help? I’m interested in other’s thoughts.
