I know there are a lot of options, I have insurance, but I’m trying to anticipate the impact on my budget! What do you pay for the meds? Do you know what they cost?

Lifestyle change is not an option for treatment. Not overweight, good diet, gym workout daily, treadmill 4+ miles daily, cholesterol, sodium, potassium levels fine. It’s genetic, so meds are the option. I’m averaging 148/100, peaking at 168/110.

Bums me out because I’m been 115/70 forever. This symptoms just started a couple of months ago but I did not see a doc until last week. High bp never occurred to me!

My mother was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma a few weeks ago, she has an 11.6 centimeter mass on her left kidney. She was hospitalized last weekend because they gave her morphine for pain, it dropped her blood pressure extemely low. That is when we found out the cancer had spread to other organs (liver, pancreas, lymph nodes and stomach) the doctors said she would only make it a few weeks to a month. That is when I looked into this cancer center, her insurance has been approved and they want to schedule her flight asap. I just want to know if anyone out there has had good results with ctca? I have a friend who goes with her mother who had breast cancer metasis to her liver and bone who goes to ctca and she said they were great. Are they as wonderful as my friends mom says?
My mom is also doing better now, she’s home from the hospital and she’s not as weeks and she’s eating . My mom says she’s ready to fight this.

My cousin recently told me that his mother at the age of 60, and unemployed, was turned down for health insurance some years back, because one of the first questions the agent she was applying with asked, "Do you have high blood pressure?" When she said yes, the agent said they could not cover her due to the condition. She was of course, not old enough for Medicare, so she was without medical insurance until she could get Medicare. That lack of health insurance ended up being the death of her, because she was not able to affordable treatment on her own and by the time she did have Medicare and a supplement, her serious condition had progressed to the critical stage. How sad. Her husband 65, was already drawing Medicare with AARP as a supplement. He was unable to continue paying the extremely high premiums of the company insurance he had at his job, once he retired. Anyone with a similiar situation, or know someone this has happened to?
This incident happened over 15 yrs ago.

How safe it is to go for dental treatment with dental student in dental school?I don’t have dental insurance and I am going to start dental treatment from next thursday. Is there any risk involved?I am older and close to 50 with High Blood pressure(Taking Diovan HCT everyday to control it)

I have had fatigue, constant neck pain and headaches, blurred vision, and overall have just felt so horrible almost every day that I can barely get through the day. I have had fleeting chest pains the past couple of days. The other symptoms have been going on for several months. I did an internet search and the only thing that seemed to match is high blood pressure. I haven’t had it checked lately because I don’t have insurance and have not been to the doctor. I also have type 1 diabetes. (I am 26)

I have no insurance and can’t afford the crazy money pit of doctors and perscriptions anymore. there must be a way for me to manage my hypertension and anxiety myself.
I am not over weight and exercise regularly. I am 42 years old and have always been in good physical condition. I don’t eat alot of salt at all.
I know about exercise and diet. Again, does anyone know of a homeopathic treatment?

I have somewhat high blood pressure right on the edge of being stage one hypertension. I don’t want to take medication because A.) I don’t have insurance at the moment and B.) Blood pressure medication is bad for the liver.

So the question is: how can I lower my blood pressure without using medication? Thanks!
