Does treatment stop heart failure or does it just slow the progression of heart failure prolonging a person life but will cause death eventually if something else doesn’t cause death first???
Also what is the likely hood of a person having heart failure if ekg was normal, blood pressure is normal and the person doesn’t have hypertension, etc.
My ‘normal’ blood pressure is something like 172/140.
I am aware that I have hypertension, thank you.
I am 22, a 1 pack per day smoker. I do not drink coffee/energy drinks; I am 5′11" and 175lbs; which means I have a normal weight.
The hypertension is the onset of the treatment of my aortic carnation; in which a patch was sewn onto my aorta in order to give it a proper size; this was done 14 years ago.
My big question? Am I going to die at 50???
I have had normal blood pressure this whole time. Now, at 40 weeks, I had high blood pressure that my Dr. seemed pretty concerned about. I am doing a 24 hour urine analysis and then having blood work and a non stress test and an ultrasound on friday (i will be 40 weeks, 1 day) what causes high blood pressure in late pregnancy, and what are the effects on both mom and baby?
i forgot to add that my blood pressure today was 188/something! i cant remember the bottom number…….
