Believe it or not, try eating nuts a few times a week, especially almonds. This has worked for people I know who have high blood pressure.

I would suggest watching your intake of sodium, msg’s, and many cold/allergey meds. Also, increase your water intake and excercise. My dad and I both have HBP and we have began to drink a glass of red wine each night before bed. We heard this from several different people and decided to try it out, and it seems to have been working so far. Not a drastic change, but enough of one to notice that it is a little bit lower. I’ve tried various diets, supplements, exercise… nothing seemed to touch my 140-150/90-95 range BP.
Last week I was 120/80. The only thing different I was doing over the last 2 weeks was what Al Sears calls "Supra-Aerobics." Doing a high-intensity workout (50 measly hindu squats wipes me out in less than a minute, my goal is to be able to do 500 in 15 min) defined as pushing me into the oxygen debt zone where I become out of breath and literally have to stop to catch my breath. They key is that eventually I will be able to recover more quickly (pulse and breathing), and so far my immediate side effect is that my BP actually went down!
