What causes rise in blood pressure + protein in urine other then ovbious?
What foods/medicines etc cause blood pressure to rise?
What can cause protein in urine?
I had 2+ on a urine test and my blood pressure is higher then usual. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and I know that these are symptoms of preeclampsia. What I’m looking for are non-obvious reasons for protein to be in urine + blood pressure to rise. I have heard caffeine can make blood pressure go up. Anything else anyone can think of? Can eating a lot of protein cause protein in urine?
Don’t tell me to go to the doctor because I did. I’m working with my doctor. I just want more opinions. =)

Eating too much protein would only cause a problem if you ate more protein in a short period of time than you would usually eat in a week. We are talking huge quantities!!! The same goes for the caffeine.
Foods, none that I know of will cause a rise in BP apart from excess salt (not got a taste for Marmite I suppose?)
Stress can cause a rise, but I really cannot come up with any non obvious.
