lots of gum! especially the cold, spicy kind ("ice"), don’t know why but it gave me a ‘kick’ whenever i got the urge to light one up. then i stopped buying them completely. if you hang around people who smoke, avoid them when they light up…its too tempting & easy to fall back into it. take it 1 day at a time & start an exercise plan…i found it hard to work out at the gym if i was out of breath all the time so that motivated me to quit. remind yourself why you want/need to quit & get support from others around you. best of luck!
i think the only successful way to stop smoking is chop off your hands LOL
