I have gone from 20 a day to 3 a day atm. It’s working for me just do something to occupy your time to stop thinking about smoking. I would cut down 1st and don’t rush it. It’s took me 6 months to go from 20 a day to 3 a day. Just take your time
x x x
prayer
smoke weed
see a doctor.
Just stop and substitute Tums
ask your doctor about chantix,
cold turkey
that is what I did
half the battle is making up your mind that NO matter what, you will NOT smoke
I also joined quitnet.com and got great tips and support there
from past experience jus drop it when u crave a cig go do something to keep your mind active jus act as tho they dont exist
nicotine only stays in the body for three days after that its all a mind thing
Try that gum that helps you stop smoking. Or, put a rubber band around your wrist and snap it whenever you want to smoke. If you can’t stop get medical help from your doctor. The best thing to do is just buckle down and stop no matter how bad you want it and reward yourself for days spent not smoking. Pray for God’s guidance too. Also, try finding a substitution for smoking like whenever you want to smoke chew sugar free gum instead (healthier then sugar gum) or suck on some hard candy or anything to substitute for a cigarette.
Do what I did and realise one day you are going to regret it more than anything. If you get cancer you will wish you could go back in time and stopped smoking. That’s how I stopped after 8 years using will power alone.
Get a mental therapy or a psychologist
in health class my teacher brought in 2 pairs of lungs. The first pair was normal healthy lungs. The second pair she made us touch. It was smokers lungs. it was so gross. it had cancer and was black and heavy. we also looked at gross smokers mouth. my teacher also passed around a jar of smokers flem. after this experience i am never going to smoke. try to convince your self that smoking’s gross.
I get bashed for this but it worked for me…It’s going to require a little bit of a lifestyle change, but if you are really ready it will work! Really!..First you should know I’m a bi-polar with absolutely NO willpower…that being said if I can do it I would think anyone can.
I put up 3 days of me time…no influences or allowing any visitors, I threw my cigs away and then I went to bed. I slept through the initial bursts of with drawls the next day I cried I screamed I ate carrots and went back to sleep on day three, the withdrawls were easier to deal with,..by the time I went to work again I was good, with only occasional twinges.
Don’t go outside with other smokers, instead get a book or spend your breaks reading or something you would not normally do, the key is to break routine, don’t do the things that would trigger a craving. The hardest part is after meals because you have to eat.
Good Luck….I have been done for a year now and I smoked for 21 years!
Search for Alan Carr on U Tube. He has a brilliant way of looking at your addiction and has helped many people stop.
The best, healthiest way is cold turkey. You don’t want to substitute one thing for another, whether that’s more nicotine in a patch or gum, or food, and definitely not weed like someone suggested.

I used Wellbutrin ( prescription covered by insurance) It worked for me . I was determined to not smoke once i started taking the medication. It works if you want to quit bad enough. I had smoked for 25+ years and really liked to smoke.
Good Luck
Chewing gums……..try it as substitute
