Where can I find information on high blood pressure and Diabetic diet?
My boyfriend recently had a 2nd heart attack and now has to have a quadruple bypass in a month…….where can I find information a what he can eat? He was diagnosed with diabetes, and has always had high blood pressure..but he is very stubborn and won’t eat right…I think this time scared him…PLEASE HELP..ANY INFORMATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

make an appointment to see a dietician and a diabetic educator before he goes into the hospital. have them follow him while he is in the hospital. they can give you all the information you need. he should have cardiac rehab when he is discharged,too.

There are foods which reserach has determined work best for diabetics (cinnamon being one; also green vegetables). As for blood pressure, he should stay away from salt and eat foods with potassium (spinach, bananas)
